Who is SilkEBee?
Born out of the desire to soothe our infant daughter's extremely dry and sensitive skin. At the age of 2 months she was diagnosed with Atopic Eczema and Dermatitis. Doctors prescribed emollients and then steroids as her condition worsened. We wanted a gentle substitute that not only soothed the skin, but protected it as it healed.
Our inspiring recipe combines beeswax with natural and organic butter and oils to form what is now the SilkEBee Hive. Our balms deliver much needed relief to children and adults alike.
The SilkEBee balms are not just an aide to soothe dry and sensitive skin, they are a great way to pamper your skin naturally.
Among other skin loving ingredients all the balms contain:
Beeswax - Antibacterial, It protects the skin and keeps it hydrated.
Shea Butter - A white fatty substance obtained from the nut of the shea tree found in West Africa. Full on natural vitamin A, it is extremely moisturising and provides immediate softness and smoothness. Shea butter helps keep stretch marks and wrinkles at bay.
Coconut oil - Has a low molecular weight to is able to penetrate deep into the skin. It soothes itchy skin and is a great moisturiser g for your body, hands and face.
Apricot Kernel Oil - Obtained from the kernel seeds of of Apricots. Anti Septic, Antibacterial, Anti Aging and a brilliant emollient.
